Welcome to Duffield and District Funeral Services |

Since returning to his home town of Duffield, James has put his 20 years of experience in aiding the bereaved to the benefit of his own community. It is and always will be James's intention to serve you and your loved ones with the professionalism and dedication that you would expect, a service that will be identifiable with the dignity and respect you deserve. You are encountering one of lifes most difficult times and it should be remembered that James and his staff will be there as a constant support to you, enabling you and your family to come through those emotional difficulties with the minimum of inconvenience and worry. |

| As James is a local, having resided in Duffield from the age of two and attending both William Gilbert and Ecclesbourne Schools; leaving the latter in 1988 to pursue his career in Funeral Directing. Qualifying as a Funeral Director in 1990 & as embalmer in 1997. He has now realised his ambition of running his own business and giving the kind of personal service and support which is available to Duffield and surrounding areas. The hardest part of the first year was arranging and conducting his grandfather's funeral (a Duffield resident for 50 years) however, how could he not, as it was his grandfather who originally arranged his work experience with Derby Co-operative Funeral Service when James was just fourteen years old. James runs a 24-hour personal service and makes sure he is available to families who may have a niggling worry or question to ensure that the process of arranging a funeral is as painless as possible for them. |
Duffield & District Funeral Service opened its doors for business on June 6th 2005 and after two months of complete renovation the finished result seems to have been well received. |
